A Note From All Of Us At DFR
- March 18, 2020
To the Doing Family Right Care Network,
We are truly living in unprecedented times right now and from all of us here at Doing Family Right, we want to extend a word of encouragement to you all. Keep perspective. Whether you are a person of faith or not, remember, God is still in charge – not a virus. Read Psalm 46:1-3 to be encouraged:
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! …(no, we will not fear though the virus grows in impact…God is still in control!)
That being said, we know that fears are real and this season can be a scary and anxiety-ridden time with so much uncertainty. We do care and want to reach out and let you know that we are here to support you and those you care for.
Our counsellors and Care Centre team are committed to helping you and your families through this and whatever other marriage and family challenges you might be facing. We are continuing to offer sessions at our Care Centre in Abbotsford with a few minor precautions in light of the COVID-19 Virus. We will continue on as usual with the following changes:
- We have increased the cleaning frequency in our office and are ensuring that after each session, counsellors will wipe down the rooms thoroughly between clients.
- We will continue to operate with our usual love and warmth but without direct touch.
- Please do not come if you have experienced any viral symptoms or are in a 14-day self-monitoring stage.
- We are offering the option of phone and video counselling services for those who might prefer that for now or are currently needing to self-distance or self-quarantine.
If you do have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your counsellor directly. We are here to love and support you no matter what! Let’s lean in on the Lord and trust Him through this together.
Sincerely Behind You,
Dr. Dave Currie
