Rachel Merrell
Rachel has worked with children, youth, parents and young adults for over a decade in various settings including a trauma centre, The Ministry of Children and Family Development and private practice. She brings her warm presence and relational style where individuals feel safe to explore life’s challenges and experience change. Rachel specializes in trauma-informed, body-based and emotion-focused approaches to counselling and works with children 13 years old and up.

Rachel is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#13105), a designation of the BC Clinical Counsellors Association (BCACC) and has completed her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University.

3. Worldview and Counselling Perspective
Rachel operates out of a person-centred approach where she desires to make people feel seen, heard and safe. Her Christian faith can be incorporated into sessions if the client chooses but she is respectful of all backgrounds. She desires that the therapy room would be an inviting place where clients experience someone who wants to know them and help them navigate life’s challenges. She feels deeply honoured to be part of the journey as clients show vulnerability in engaging in
the hard work of therapy.
4. Counselling Information
Counselling In-Person or Skype/Zoom Sessions are available.
Session length: 50 minutes
Cost: $140
5. Payment for Services
Payment is due at the time of the session by cash or cheque or by e-transfer by the end of the day.
Cancellation Fee: With notification of less than 24 hours, clients agree to pay a cancellation fee equal to a full session.
