Jackie has a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. With a background in education and grief counselling, she brings personal life experience and empathy to her practice. She is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. She is actively engaged in her internship with DFR until December 2024, where she continues to refine her skills and expand her knowledge. Jackie feels honoured to accompany her clients through the difficult and messy parts of life, guiding them toward a more content and purposeful existence. She strives to be authentic and Christ-centered in her work, offering compassion, understanding, and support to all those she counsels.

Her belief in God shapes her perspective on the world, influences her life, and informs her interactions with others. Her primary aim is to integrate the love and grace of Jesus into the struggles her clients encounter, providing them with solace and guidance as they undergo transformation according to His plan. Jackie’s counselling approach is eclectic, drawing from a blend of strength-based therapy and solution-focused therapy techniques.

4. Counselling Information

Counselling in Person or Online: Free during internship at DFR

Session Length: 50 minutes

5. Payment for Services

Payment is due at the time of the session by cash, cheque, e-transfer, or credit card. Cheques should be made payable to Jackie Kingma

Cancellation Fee: With notification of less than 24 hours, clients agree to pay a cancellation fee equal to the cost of a full session.
